You’ve participated in the city’s coffee crawls, but now the shops are putting a prize on the line, and matcha’s the star player.

Nashville has its own bracket challenge this March, but it’s only a winning game. Over 20 cafes are participating in the first-ever Matcha Madness.

The rules are simple: Pick up your scorecard from the host, Forevermore, on or after Saturday, March 1. Then, get it stamped at each location throughout the month after purchasing your specialty matcha.

The more participating businesses you visit, the more entries you’ll get for the grand prize giveaway — a $100 Forevermore gift card and a matcha starter kit.

If your mouth wasn’t already watering, it will be after reading through some of the drink descriptions:

  • Nothing But Net | Subliminal Coffee Co. | Five-ounce iced matcha topped with a sweet pistachio cold foam and dusted with cocoa powder
  • The Alley Ube | Paradeisos Coffee Co. | Iced matcha with honey syrup and ube cold foam
  • Full Court Matcha | The Café at Rocketown | Matcha lemonade with elderflower and raspberry
