Editor’s Pick: Resting Burrito Face and Merge Coffee Bar

Both spots are open daily, whether you’re stopping by for breakfast or lunch.

Coffee and breakfast burritos — a match made right here in Music City, thanks to Resting Burrito Face and Merge Coffee Bar.

East Nashville regulars likely know Resting Burrito Face (formerly JMAS), which has been parked on Porter Road since 2024. Now there’s a second outpost on 4th Avenue South, conveniently located in the same lot as Merge Coffee Bar.

On my first visit, I ordered the Greenwood burrito — packed with refried beans, tots, cheddar, pico de gallo, and crema — and paired it with Merge’s honey cinnamon latte (aka the Bees Knees). Next time, I’ve got my eyes on the Imposter burrito made with BE Hive’s vegan chipotle chorizo.

If you’re hitting up the East Nashville location, Tabla Rasa Cafe is right next door for coffee and ice cream.
