The last bell will ring soon, signaling the start of summer. If you want to keep imaginations flowing and gears turning, consider signing the kiddos up for one of these six camps — registrations fill up quickly.

👟 For the athlete

  • Nashville Ballet | May-July | Nashville School of Ballet, 3630 Redmon St. | $300 | Half-day camps are available for children ages 4-10 to act out the chosen ballet story, practice choreography, and create crafts. Bonus: All ages can explore drop-in classes and junior intensives.
  • Climb Nashville | June-July | Climb Nashville West, 3600 Charlotte Ave. | $395+ | Climb to new heights this summer — plus, siblings who sign up for the same week receive a 10% discount.

🌳 For the curious learner

  • Zoo Camps | June-July | Nashville Zoo, 3777 Nolensville Pk. | $260+ | 5th-12th grade programs still have some availability for kids to become animal engineers, learn best practices for protecting the planet, or explore career paths in the zoo field.
  • Science Camp | May-July | Adventure Science Center, 800 Fort Negley Blvd. | $345+ | Some not-yet-filled camp themes include “Space Quest,” “Wizarding World of Science,” and “Dinosaur Expedition.”

🎨 For the arts-focused

  • Rock Camp | June-July | School of Rock Nashville, 3201 Belmont Blvd. | $399 | Camps cater to kids ages 7-17 across rock themes like “Stranger Things: Rock 101,” “Muse vs. Radiohead,” and “Y2K.”
  • The Nashville Shakespeare Festival | June | West End United Methodist Church, 2200 West End Ave. | $250 | These half-day, Shakespeare-focused camps include character development and a performance on the final day.
