On your mark, get set, go… to the St. Jude Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series. The one-of-a-kind music and fitness event comes racing back to Nashville next month — Thursday, April 20 through Sunday, April 23.

Participants will be serenaded by 25+ bands as they travel through Music Row, 12 South, and other neighborhoods. Plus, enjoy a post-race concert headlined by Runaway June. Whether you’re hitting the pavement, cheering from the sidelines, or planning to be out in the city, here’s how to be race weekend ready.

Event timeline

The running series includes six courses — a marathon, half marathon, 10k (aka the 6.15 race), 5k, and individual 1-mile courses for adults and children — plus, a half-mile Doggie Dash. Pick up race packets at the Health & Fitness Expo on Thursday (12-7 p.m.) and Friday (10 a.m.-7 p.m.).

  • Thursday, April 20 | Health & Fitness Expo (Nashville Municipal Auditorium)
  • Friday, April 21 | Health & Fitness Expo and the St. Jude Heroes Pasta Party (open to those running for the benefiting charity)
  • Saturday, April 22 | 5k and 10k at 6:30 a.m. (8th Avenue and Demonbreun Street) and the marathon and half marathon at 7:20 a.m. (8th Avenue and Broadway)
  • Sunday, April 23 | KiDS Rock, 1-mile adult, and Doggie Dash races (Nissan Stadium)

The finish line for all four courses on Saturday is at Nissan Stadium. Pro tip: Follow your favorite runner on race day with the Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series Tracker App.

Road closures

Most streets along the race courses will close at 5:45 a.m. and reopen on a rolling basis. Some roads surrounding Nissan Stadium will be closed all four days. See the full list of road closures and times + no parking zones.

Registration

Online registration closes on Sunday, April 16. All participants must visit the expo to pick up their race number, gear bag, and t-shirt. Registration prices vary from $25 to $139 depending on the course, but prices may increase at any time.
