Switch it, change it, rearrange it — what rocking four belong here?

We’re seeking some monumental feedback on local music history, and we need you to step up to the mic.

Tuneful talent is kind of Nashville’s thing with nearly 10 music museums, the longest-running country music festival, and a thriving jazz community. There is no shortage of icons who have carved legacies onto Music City’s stages, but who would go on your Nashville Music Mt. Rushmore?

The finalists

Last week, we asked you to submit your recommendations — we chiseled down the results and gathered the top 10 names submitted.

Here are your finalists:

  • Chet Atkins
  • Johnny Cash
  • Vince Gill
  • Loretta Lynn
  • Reba McEntire
  • Willie Nelson
  • Dolly Parton
  • Charley Pride
  • Taylor Swift
  • Hank Williams

Vote for your top four by filling out our finalist survey by Monday, Oct. 9. The winners from this ballot will then be featured in a special newsletter celebrating their achievements.

The challenge

Choose four music legends with strong Nashville ties that you would immortalize above all others in our imaginary sculpture. We’ll keep the poll open until Tuesday, Oct. 3, and then put the top 10 submitted names onto a ballot.

The top four vote-getters from that ballot will then be featured in an upcoming newsletter celebrating their achievements with, of course, visuals of what we think the mountain would look like.
