ABC’s dialing up a ‘9-1-1' spinoff series in Nashville

Music City will be the backdrop of the next “9-1-1" show after “9-1-1: Lone Star” concluded a five-season run on Feb. 3.

A look down Broadway at night as people walk through the crosswalk and cars are stalled on the street. You can see Robert's Wester World, Jack's Bar-B-Que, and The Stage neon signs clearly on the exterior of the buildings.

It’s safe to say Broadway will make an appearance, right?

More than a decade after the hit show “Nashville” made its mark on primetime, another ABC series is putting Music City back in the spotlight — only this time, it comes with more sirens and high-stake rescues.

“9-1-1: Nashville” will be the latest installment in the first-responder franchise, which has featured actors like Angela Bassett in the flagship series and Rob Lowe leading the Texas-based spinoff, “9-1-1: Lone Star.”

No cast members have been confirmed yet, but the series by Ryan Murphy (“Glee,” “American Horror Story,” and “Scream Queens”) is set to air on ABC during the 2025-2026 season. It’s also unclear how much will be filmed in Nashville, though a Deadline report said the city “emerged as a front-runner, in part because of a tax credit.”

From a “bee tornado” to a highway shark attack, seemingly no emergency is off limits in the franchise. Let us know who you would like to see star in the show, and we may feature your response in an upcoming newsletter.
