If you’ve ever dreamed of taking your childhood cereal cravings to the next level, we have some cereal-sly sweet news. Cereal bar Wanna Spoon just opened in 12 South at 1111 Caruthers Ave. across from Five Daughters Bakery.

🥣 What to order

Wanna Spoon serves up nostalgia by the bowl with 20+ varieties of cereal (think: Fruity Pebbles, Lucky Charms, and Froot Loops) with mini milk bottles and cartons (whole, nonfat, almond, and oat). No worries if you’re not cereal obsessed. Here are some other treats you will find on the menu:

  • Hot and iced coffee, including a speciality cereal milk latte
  • Soft serve ice cream + milkshakes with mix-ins
  • Granola bowls with toppings

Prices range from $5 for a bowl of cereal with one topping, $6 for ice cream with one mix-in, and $7 for a 12 oz. milkshake with two mix-ins.

🥣 What not to miss

This family-friendly spot goes beyond the bowl with indoor and outdoor murals (we spy Marilyn Monroe and Jimi Hendrix), picnic-style seating with umbrellas, and lawn games like cornhole. Order + pick up your treats inside, then walk out to the lawn to soak up the sun.

Pro tip: Don’t miss out on the photo ops. Sit on the swing in front of the Froot Loops wall, stand in the giant spoon, and strike a pose by the cow sculpture.
