Dollywood, Pigeon Forge
The Dolly Parton-branded theme park celebrates 40 years in 2025 and offers over 60 rides and slides like Big Bear Mountain and the Dollywood Express Train Depot, as well as multiple entertainment options and festivals throughout the year. The Village Shops, Gatlinburg
Since opening in 1970, nearly 30 shops, attractions, and eateries now occupy the European-inspired village. Grab a cup of joe from the city’s “oldest roasting coffee shop” and bring home a bag of small batch gourmet popcorn from family-owned Pop Culture.

The Old Mill Restaurant, Pigeon Forge
Almost two centuries ago, farmers would travel to the gristmill along the Little Pigeon River, and the property actually plays a role in the city’s name. Today, you can not only grab breakfast, lunch, and dinner here, but also shop pottery made by local artists.

The Heirloom Room, Gatlinburg
Speaking of the Little Pigeon River, get a table outdoors for a waterside dining experience. Though the restaurant is relatively new, it pays homage to the property’s past as The Tea Room and offers a menu highlighting traditions of the region.

Log Cabin Pancake House, Gatlinburg
This no frills, hearty breakfast spot doesn’t take reservations, but its pancakes are worth the wait. Try the butterscotch chip or opt for the all-you-can-eat biscuits and gravy.

Old Mountain Wine Company, Gatlinburg
OK, this might not be a spot to eat, but the sweet, fruit-forward wines are bottled in house. Grab one after a day spent in the mountains for a nightcap at your rental.

Huck Finn’s Catfish, Pigeon Forge
If you’re reel-y hungry, make a stop at this restaurant known for its all-you-can-eat catfish and fried chicken. Vittles are also served with all meals, including dill pickles with sweet onion slices and creamy cole slaw with secret dressing.
