A mixed-use development proposed for Wedgewood-Houston will bring a hotel, residential units, green spaces, and ground-level retail to the corner of Martin Street and Merritt Avenue.

That’s the vision for SomeraRoad’s Martin & Merritt, the latest project from the team behind Paseo South Gulch. Here’s what’s planned:

  • Residential building with 153 units
  • Hotel with 155 rooms + a rooftop pool and bar
  • ~5,000 sqft of retail and restaurant space
  • Pocket park and art plaza
  • Shared parking garage
  • Outdoor terraces, a dog park, and an amenity deck for the residences

The residential building is expected to rise seven floors, while the hotel is set to reach eight, according to plans submitted to Metro.

Next door to future hotel and residential buildings is The Mill, an adaptive reuse project on the former site of Vintage Millworks. The development, also by SomeraRoad, will offer a variety of retail spaces, including a 5,000-sqft Barista Parlor cafe and headquarters.
