Nailing down Nashville’s celebrity-branded developments

In recent years, Nashville’s bar scene from Broadway to Midtown has gotten a little more star-studded. Here’s what celebrity bars are open and what’s to come.

What started in 2010 as a day spent wasting away in Margaritaville has grown to include 15+ stops on the celebrity-branded Broadway bar tour. Crane you keep up?

What’s coming

In August, sources told the Nashville Business Journal that Shania Twain will partner with Nashville Underground — a bar owned by singers Joey and Gavin DeGraw. No further details have been shared at this time.

Down the street, Luke Combs’ Category 10 is transforming the former Wildhorse Saloon space with an anticipated November 2024 opening. Swipe through the bar’s renderings.

Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville | Opened in 2010 | A tropical-themed oasis that shares space with Landshark Bar and Grill.

AJ’s Good Time Bar | Opened in 2016 | It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere when you step into the three-floor venue, which features a sports bar, “Hullbilly Bar” with nightly karaoke, and rooftop.

John Rich’s Redneck Riviera | Opened in 2018 | The main bar called the “Heroes Bar” serves active and retired military + first responders their first round free.

Jason Aldean’s Kitchen + Rooftop Bar | Opened in 2018 | The four-level bar offers a Southern-inspired menu and is home to The Wayne D Show.

Luke Bryan’s Luke’s 32 Bridge | Opened in 2018 | Six levels of entertainment space boasting eight bars, four live music stages, and two restaurants in the American National Bank Building.

Blake Shelton’s Ole Red | Opened in 2018 | The bar inspired by the musician’s 2001 hit also has a location at the Nashville International Airport.

Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row | Opened in 2018 | The multi-level venue known for DJ performances also hosts Whiskey Jam every Monday at 8 p.m.

Kid Rock’s Big A** Honky Tonk | Opened in 2018 | The “Rock ‘n’ Roll Steakhouse” serves a 36-ounce Tomahawk ribeye + offers five floors with four stages.

Johnny Cash’s Bar & BBQ | Opened in 2019 | Next to the country music legend’s museum, the rustic bar and eatery by Icon Entertainment Group also highlights some never-before-seen photos and artifacts.

Justin Timberlake’s The Twelve Thirty Club | Opened in 2021 | If you’re looking for a more upscale evening, make a reservation at the second-level Supper Club before heading back down to the honky tonk or up to the rooftop.

Miranda Lambert’s Casa Rosa | Opened in 2021 | The “Tequila Does” singer made history with her Tex-Mex cantina as the first female artist to open a Broadway bar.

Hank Williams Jr. Boogie Bar | Opened in 2023 | Located in the former Nashville Crossroads building, you can take your own self-walking tour of the three-floor space and rooftop — minus the crowd.

Lainey Wilson’s Bell Bottoms Up | Opened in 2024 | Formerly FGL House, the 3rd Avenue space now showcases Wilson’s Louisiana background, even featuring a dueling piano bar and Cajun-inspired cuisine.

Garth Brooks’ Friends in Low Places | Opened in 2024 |Escape to the tropics on the first two floors and rooftop space, or check out the members-based club and Trisha’s Kitchen via our Reel.

Eric Church’s Chief’s | Opened in 2024 | Dig in to James Beard Award-winning pitmaster Rodney Scott’s Whole Hog BBQ and explore ticketed event’s at the Neon Steeple.

Tanya Tucker’s Tequila Cantina | Opened in 2024 | The singer celebrated her new space at Nudie’s Honky Tonk, which serves her Cosa Salvaje tequila brand, by riding in on horseback down Broadway. Check it out.

Morgan Wallen’s This Bar + Tennessee Kitchen | Opened in 2024 | Located near Ryman Auditorium, Wallen’s Broadway venture boasts six bars and three stages with a menu paying homage to his East Tennessee roots.

JBJ’s Nashville | Opened in 2024 | As you would expect, Jon Bon Jovi’s concept mixes a little bit of country with a rock ‘n’ roll twist and has two rooftop spaces.

Beyond Broad

Moving over to Midtown, Riley Green’s Duck Blind now occupies the space formerly home to Winner’s Bar & Grill — but he’s not the only one. Previously, Old Dominion announced plans to open Odie’s at the old Rebar space (1919 Division St.) sometime in 2024.
