Germantown’s Neuhoff District, a mixed-use development built on the site of an early-1900s meatpacking plant, has been evolving over the past few years. Blocks 1-4 introduced office space, residences, and retail, but the transformation isn’t finished.

What’s next

New renderings reveal what’s in store for the development’s second phase, which will involve renovating the bow truss building into retail space. The project site, named Block 5, also calls for a seven-story office building and a six-story residential structure. Both additions will feature street-level retail and be surrounded by green space and an outdoor plaza.

Let’s recap

Here’s a block-by-block breakdown of Neuhoff’s first phase:

  • Block 1: 288,000 sqft of office space and 8,000 sqft of retail
  • Block 2: 108,000 sqft of loft office space and 43,000 sqft of retail and amenities
  • Blocks 3 and 4: Two multifamily buildings with 194 and 348 units, 3,000 sqft of retail, and 2,100+ parking spaces

More recently, lifestyle brand Mashburn, Sensa Padel, and Mas Tacos’ food truck have opened, with seafood restaurant Fishmonger and new concepts from the teams behind Kisser and Peninsula on the way.
