The Nashville Predators announced plans to renovate Bridgestone Arena — a project that carries a $650 million price tag.

Plans call for a 175,000-sqft expansion, two connected towers, and arena upgrades. Most of the construction is slated for completion ahead of the 2029–2030 hockey season.

Highlights

  • A 60,000-sqft rooftop and bar
  • Relocating the main entrance to 5th Avenue and extending the roofline over the plaza
  • 100,000 sqft of new restaurant and retail space planned for the area visible from Broadway and 75,000 sqft on the Demonbreun Street side

The arena’s exterior will be replaced with windows + boast open-air concourses and large digital displays. Inside, concourses and restrooms will be expanded, and capacity will grow by 600 to 700 seats.

While final plans for the towers are still in the works, possible uses include office space, a hotel, and even a bowling alley.

Timeline and funding
Some work will begin in summer 2026, but most of the construction is expected to take place during “two to three month” summer closures from 2027 to 2029. The Tennessean reports that the project will be funded through ticket sales and sales tax revenue from in-arena purchases.
