Opryland introduced rides like the Grizzly River Rampage, Flume Zoom (aka the log ride), and Screamin’ Delta Demon to Nashville’s lore. Even the Hangman roller coaster made its mark in the park’s final years.

If you still feel a sense of nostalgia, tap the button below to find out which ride you match with.

News Notes

Stat

42%. That’s the average price increase for a meal at a chain restaurant over the past five years. While inflation is inevitable, you can spend your dollars supporting local flavors by checking out brunch spots around Nashville. (FinanceBuzz)

Eat

Goodbye, Bistro Shrimp Pasta. If you’re headed to the Cheesecake Factory this weekend, be aware that the chain is removing 13 menu items (and adding 23 more). Maybe consider trying a local option, like shrimp toast from Marsh House or a shrimp po boy from The Gumbo Bros. (USA Today)

Number

$18.32. That’s the average cost of a large cheese pizza in Nashville based on a national pizza study conducted by Clever. Luckily, Music City has many pizzerias that are worth the dough, and our options go way beyond just cheese.

Tech

Want to learn something new... from the comfort of your own bed? Try visiting the Museum of All Things, a new virtual museum generated from Wikipedia with exhibits on millions of topics. When the scrolling gets old and you need some real-world interaction, head to Nashville’s IRL museums.

The Wrap

Today’s edition by: Dylan

Tomorrow, March 30, is National Hot Chicken Day — but in Nashville, isn’t that just business as usual? Regardless, I’ll take any excuse to head over to Red’s Hot Chicken for this hot chicken mac and cheese.
