Die-hard soccer fan or not, Nashville SC’s inaugural match at GEODIS Park is one for the history books.

The boys in gold will take to the new field against Philadelphia Union on Sunday afternoon. Grab your Nashville SC jersey + scarf because it’s time to break in the largest soccer-specific stadium in the US.

The home opener

It’s gonna get loud. The match is expected to be a sellout (only season tickets + resale tickets remain) and will be nationally televised on ESPN. Here are the key details:

  • Match: Nashville SC vs. Philadelphia Union
  • Date: Sun., May 1 at 3 p.m.
  • Location: GEODIS Park, 501 Benton Ave.
  • Tickets: $80+

Another reason opening day will be special? The team has curated live entertainment with a pre-match concert by BRELAND, the ceremonial guitar riff by Tommy Shaw of Styx, and a post-match concert by Judah and the Lion (aka the creators of Nashville SC’s official anthem).

The team’s new digs

Located in Wedgewood-Houston, the 30,000-seat stadium features a 360-degree canopy, 65-ft. wide shared concourse, a team store, and locally-owned food and drink vendors. On the food side of things, there’s Chivanada, Prince’s Hot Chicken, Tacos by Alebrije, and more. If you’re looking for a local brew, drinks from Bearded Iris, Diskin Cider + Fat Bottom will be available. See the full list.

Getting there

Parking for all Nashville SC matches is $20 — divided into East and West zones. NDOT has shared a list of road closures and encourages attendees to access the stadium via rideshare, biking, walking, or WeGo Transit (Route 52). Pro tip: Two free off-campus lots with round trip shuttle services is $10 per person.

Now that you’re primed and ready to go for Sunday’s match, save the dates for Nashville SC’s 18 regular season home matches.
