The Germantown neighborhood is poised for its first traditional hotel property, according to a 24-page document submitted to Metro.

Plans call for an eight-story hotel near Morgan Park at 1500 3rd Ave. N. If the project is approved, the 260-room development will incorporate two food and bev components — a restaurant and patio at the corner of Van Buren Street and 3rd Avenue North + another concept facing 2nd Avenue.

The project will be led by Atlanta-based North Point Hospitality, which has developed three hotels in SoBro and Midtown.
