“TROLLS: Save the Humans” is the estate’s newest outdoor installation, created by Danish artist Thomas Dambo. Running from Thursday, May 2, to Sunday, Sept. 1, the blockbuster exhibition includes six larger-than-life troll sculptures made from recycled wood and nestled throughout Cheekwood’s gardens, trees, and historic landscape.

🌳 Trolls + music

As the story goes, the trolls want to help “small people” — aka us humans — stop harming the planet and inspire us to be good stewards of the earth.

The expressive sculptures blend art, nature, and storytelling into a one-of-kind experience that has captured the imagination of children and adults worldwide. There are now 100+ Thomas Dambo Trolls around the world, and their legend has taken on a life of its own.

The exhibit’s debut also marks the start of Thursday Night Out, Cheekwood’s weekly summer event, featuring food trucks, drinks, live music + more.
