Nashville’s new direct flight to Reykjavík, Iceland isn’t the only connection between the two cities this summer. Later this month, a festival will bring Icelandic food and entertainment stateside to Music City.

From Thursday, June 26 to Saturday, June 28, Taste of Iceland plans to take over venues across town, including Nelson’s Green Brier Distillery, Cannery Hall, and the Adventure Science Center.

Here’s what you can check out:

  • A free concert featuring indie band superserious, folk singer-songwriter Árný Margrét, and DJ Hermigervill spinning Icelandic tunes
  • An Icelandic prix fixe dinner with wild seafood, lamb, and skyr prepared by chef Hafliði Halldórsson
  • A comedy show with storytelling and a roast of common tourist mistakes
  • An immersive northern lights film titled “Áróra” exploring the aurora borealis from Reykjavík to the edge of space

Bonus: Seek out Icelandair’s Wheel of Prizes during the festival for a chance to win a trip to Iceland and other items.
