Let the good times roll, Nashville. You can celebrate Mardi Gras right here in Music City, 530 miles away from the French Quarter.

Mardi Gras is Tuesday, March 4, and while Nashville’s celebrations might not be as bustling as New Orleans, these spots have plenty of Big Easy flair to spare with traditional desserts, tunes, and more.

King cakes

If you’re wondering where to preorder these colorful, tasty treats, The Gumbo Bros and The Cupcake Collection have you covered. Plus, The Gumbo Bros kicked off Mardi Gras early with a special drink menu available through March 4.

Live music

Join Acme Feed & Seed for a musical tribute to The Meters and Dr. John + catch back-to-back shows at Rudy’s Jazz Room.

Weekend happenings

RSVP your pup to join Urban Dog Bar’s Mardi Gras Pup Parade on Saturday, March 1, or just show up and watch from the sidelines. If a three-hour train ride is more your speed, hop aboard Tennessee Central Railway’s Mardi Gras Excursion, where passengers will be treated to a live band, a New Orleans-style snack bag, and a cash bar.
