A new transit center is on the way to Donelson. Never used one before? Think of it as a hub where several bus routes connect, helping riders make easier transfers. In Donelson’s case, it will also link up with the WeGo Star.

Planned features

  • Six bus bays with covered waiting areas
  • A climate-controlled waiting room
  • Bike racks + micromobility docks
  • Rideshare pickup and drop-off areas
  • Railroad quiet zones to minimize train horn noise
  • New pedestrian crossings and a traffic signal on Donelson Pike

The center will be built on part of the existing WeGo Star Donelson Station site; the park-and-ride facilities will remain open. Public meetings are scheduled for Monday, March 30 and Tuesday, March 31 at the Donelson Library.

Where will future transit centers open?

According to the Choose How You Move plan, 11 more transit centers of varying sizes may open by 2032, with locations identified for areas such as SoBro, Antioch, Madison, Bellevue, and near the airport.
