Nashville Sounds kick off season at First Horizon Park

This will come as no curve ball to fans, but the Nashville Sounds are back in action for Opening Day at First Horizon Park tomorrow, March 31. We dugout all the need-to-know info so you can be prepared as the team steps up to the plate for the first of 140+ home and away games this season.
🗓️ The schedule
Tomorrow’s opener at 6:35 p.m. against the Louisville Bats marks the start of a three-game homestand. If you can’t make it, there are 70+ chances to visit the ballpark this season. View the full schedule + take note of these upcoming home games:
Tito’s Tail Waggin’ Tuesdays: Ruff, ruff, ruff for the home team. Take your pup to the ball game for $30 ($25 for owners + $5 for dogs) with all dog ticket proceeds benefiting a local nonprofit.
Winning Wednesdays and Kroger Wednesdays: Score four tickets, four hot dogs, and four sodas for $44. Try saying that four times fast. Plus, you could win a post-game trip around the bases.
Throwback Thursdays: The Sounds wear their 1978 uniforms + fans can purchase Pepsi and Budweiser at a discounted rate.

1920s-inspired Underground Cocktail Club could be coming to Printers Alley pending Metro approval. The space near Alley Taps was previously slated for a sports bar and sits beneath the One Nashville parking garage. Stay tuned for an opening date. (Nashville Post)

Alcohol-free beer, wine, and spirits retailer Killjoy will host its grand opening at The Loading Dock (2028A Lindell Ave.) on Saturday, April 1 from 4 to 6 p.m. The $12 cover charge gets you free cocktails, charcuterie, tastings, and the opportunity to enter raffles — cocktail attire recommended, not required.

South Carolina-based New York Butcher Shoppe — a specialty grocer offering meats, cheeses, and other items — has plans to open in Green Hills in late summer. The store will take a space at 2002 Richard Jones Rd., close to Green Hills Grille, and mark the retailer’s first Tennessee location. (Nashville Post)

Also setting its sights on Green Hills is DraftKings Sports & Social. The themed chain offers a restaurant and bar with a gaming element and has plans to open by the end of the year in the former Panera Bread space at The Mall at Green Hills. (Nashville Post)

Sam Hunt will join the growing number of artists performing at the second annual Breland and Friends concert at Ryman Auditorium on Tuesday, April 4. The concert benefits Oasis Center and previously announced special guests also include Alana Springsteen and Gary Levox of Rascal Flatts.

Music City was representing at the James Beard Foundation’s nominations ceremony in more than one way.
Not only was the event held at the Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum — Nashville’s first time hosting the foundation — but Bastion’s very own Chef Josh Habiger was named a finalist for Best Chef: Southeast.
The finalists competing for the Best Chef: Southeast title at the June 5 ceremony are as follows.
