This new immersive experience at the Nashville Zoo will help answer that. Think: A cross between “Night at the Museum” and a holiday lights display with a twist. Kids and adults alike can monkey around after hours. Do we have your attention? Let’s break it down:

The Experience

Enter Night Visions. We’re not lion when we say that you can expect a dazzling exhibit of light and sound. The company behind the projection display is Philadelphia-based Klip Collective, which specializes in implementing “a unique synthesis of projection mapping, lighting, and sound design to create site-specific, immersive sensory experiences.” Klip is responsible for several other exhibits across the country like Night Forms: Dreamloop at Grounds For Sculpture + Electric Desert at Desert Botanical Gardens. Night Visions is sure to be a mane attraction.

Location

Night Visions will take place throughout designated areas of the zoo, including Entry Village, Tiger Crossroads, Expedition Peru: Trek of the Andean Bear + The Jungle Gym Playground. If you’ve seen these parts of the zoo during the day, you’ll go wild for this nighttime opportunity.

Tickets

Tickets are available in advance online or at the gate on event nights. You can also purchase a Platinum Pass for unlimited visits to Night Visions.

The display will run Thursday-Sunday beginning tomorrow, April 15 through July 17.

Party favor: The Nashville Zoo has operated out of its location at Grassmere since 1997 and sits on 188 acres of land, though only 90 of those acres have been developed. This makes Music City’s zoo the No. 9 largest zoo in the US by landmass.
