Word on the street is, the Edgehill area just got a facelift by way of bikeways, greenery, and pedestrian infrastructure — all thanks to the completion of the 12th Avenue South and Green Street project .

Construction on the project began last May at a section of 12th Avenue South between The Gulch and 12 South neighborhoods — through Edgehill. The area was identified as the No. 1 bikeway project priority via the 2017 WalknBike Plan . While most of this 1.5-mile section of roadway included bike lanes, community engagement sessions proved many thought the lanes were not comfortable or safe for all ages and abilities.

Ride through the changes

  • Slimmed lanes
  • Protected bike lanes by use of bioswales
  • Improved pedestrian crossings
  • Upgraded bus stops
