Try This: A night of Golden Era glam at the new Marquee Nashville

We recently spent an evening of dinner, drinks, and dancing at Woolworth Theatre’s new lower-level cocktail lounge.

The lower-level setting makes the space feel like a vintage speakeasy.

Hey y’all, it’s your fave newsletter team here, feeling as ritzy as Gatsby after an evening at Marquee Nashville, Woolworth Theatre’s brand-new cocktail lounge.

The cinematic space sets the stage for a different kind of night out in Nashville: Honky Tonkin’ gives way to Hollywood glam. The Marquee Big Band replaces country tunes.

It’s a sophisticated experience in a cozy + intimate postmodern setting, and we were loving every minute of it.

What we tried

Our team stopped in for dinner and drinks, plus a Shiners show upstairs in the theatre.

You don’t need show tickets to visit Marquee, but it certainly added to our evening enjoyment. (Readers can use code “NASHTODAY” for 15% off Shiners tickets. Heads up: Shiners is 18+ only — expect a few risqué moments.)

When we returned to the lounge area, the Marquee Big Band was already in full swing, and the atmosphere was electric. Folks swung ‘round the dance floor while we watched and sipped from our plush couch.

The food was, in a word, sublime. Mouthwatering short rib and pork chop paired perfectly with our vintage-inspired cocktails, and when we finally left late into the evening, we were already planning our next visit (book your own reservation here).
