After closing in 2022, the country music landmark is making its comeback with a new multilevel concept.

You may have heard the party’s getting started again at Ernest Tubb Record Shop. The longtime Lower Broadway landmark quietly soft opened earlier this month under new ownership, but the big grand opening is set for Thursday, Nov. 13.

The restored space pays tribute to the country music institution while adding new areas to explore:

  • First floor: A neon-lit bar with two stages and memorabilia
  • Second floor: The revived record shop
  • Third floor: A private event space tailored for album releases and showcases
  • Rooftop: Open air with food and drinks available
  • Basement: The Forty Seven, a lounge named for the year the shop opened.

The revival comes from Tusk Brothers (creators of Never Never and Reunion Bar) and musician Ilya Toshinskiy, in collaboration with Ernest Tubb’s grandson, Dale Tubb.
