Winter Storm Cora is set to arrive in Nashville on Friday, Jan. 10, with snow likely to fall throughout the day.

“We’re expecting all snow here in Nashville, anywhere from 3 to 7 inches, just depending on how things set up,” The Weather Channel’s Jim Cantore said on Jan. 9 while reporting from Broadway. “Even after the event ends, expect areas like Nashville to warm and thaw during the day a little bit and refreeze at night.”

Start here to stay informed regarding road conditions, weather updates, and closures:

  • A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for Davidson and all other Middle Tennessee counties until 6 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 11. National Weather Service Nashville warns of significant travel impacts.
  • See Nashville’s updated snow removal routes or use this interactive map to find your street. NDOT pre-treated routes this week and will have 40 trucks ready to salt and plow roadways as the weather arrives.
  • Keep up with area school closures, library closures, and WeGo’s snow route detours.
  • Nashville International Airport encourages travelers to check their flight status and allow extra time for check-in.
  • Know what to do to prepare your house for the cold weather, including how to prevent pipes from freezing.
