10 ways to celebrate July 4th in Nashville, TN

It’s the United States’ 245th birthday — and whether you’re looking for a classic fireworks show, great food, or rooftop views, Nashville is full of events to help you celebrate.

If you want a classic experience 🎆

Head downtown for Nashville’s annual Let Freedom Sing! Music City July 4th at 1st Ave. and Broadway + Ascend Amphitheater (310 1st Ave. S.), which is headlined by Brad Paisley. The free event will feature the largest fireworks display in the country synchronized to a live performance by the Nashville Symphony at approx. 9:30 p.m.

In Williamson County, Franklin on the Fourth festivities begin on the square at 11 a.m. and conclude with fireworks at the Park at Harlinsdale Farm (239 Franklin Rd.) at approx. 9 p.m. Brentwood’s Red, White, and Boom Celebration at Crockett Park (1500 Volunteer Pkwy.) features live music at 7 p.m. and fireworks at 9 p.m.

If you want to celebrate during the day 👟

Check out the 15th annual Hot Chicken Festival at East Park (700 Woodland St.) from 12-4 p.m. for samples from Prince’s Hot Chicken, Slow Burn + others. This year’s festival is dedicated to Bolton Matthews, the late owner of Bolton’s Spicy Chicken & Fish.

For family-friendly fun, try Ryman Auditorium’s Street Party with live music, food trucks, and family activities on PNC Plaza. The free event is July 3 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. + July 4 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m.

Start off the holiday with a run at the Music City 4th of July 5K from 7 a.m.-12 p.m. The course begins and ends at E.S. Rose Park (1000 Edgehill Ave.) with stops along Music Row, Cummins Stations, and Music City Center.

Check out the inaugural Live on Buchanan concert series featuring Starlito, Brian Brown + more at Pizza Park (between Minerva and Roll Out) from 1-6 p.m.

If you want to celebrate on a rooftop 🎶

Assembly Food Hall’s (5055 Broadway) rooftop fireworks viewing party begins at 6 p.m. and features live music, craft cocktails, and giveaways. Tickets are $25.

White Limozeen — located on top of Graduate Nashville (101 20th Ave. N.) — is serving brunch until 2 p.m., followed by DJ sets throughout the day. Reservations can be made by emailing White Limozeen + the bar will be for walk-ins based on availability.

Head up 27 stories to L27 Rooftop Lounge on top of the Westin Hotel (807 Clark Pl.) Reserve indoor, outdoor, and cabana seating starting at $100 + enjoy a seafood boil and specialty cocktails.

ProTip: If you’re celebrating at home in Davidson County, local ordinances prohibit the use of fireworks. Rules vary by county.
