Editors Dylan + Skylar here. 👋 We recently put our mixology skills to the test at downtown’s Liquor Lab Nashville , where we learned from the pros how to make three holiday-themed craft cocktails.

Here are a few basics to know before you go:

  • Location: 144 2nd Ave. N., Ste. 10
  • What you’ll need: Make sure to bring your photo ID and inform the Liquor Lab team of any allergies you have or any non-alcoholic substitutes you desire. Doors open ~30 minutes before the class begins.
  • Food: Most classes include a meal or refreshments — NASHtoday’s class kicked off with a prepackaged barbecue meal with mac and cheese and cornbread.
  • Class schedule: Classes are listed a couple months in advance; a few of the upcoming offerings include Espresso Martinis and More , The Story of Tennessee Whiskey , and Iconic NOLA Cocktails .

Without further ado, check out the three holiday cocktails we made in this video and find the ingredients for each drink below.

Holiday cocktails

Holiday Toddy — brandy, apple syrup, hot tea, and heavy cream
Festive Collins — gin, cranberry syrup, lime juice, and tonic
Mulled Spice OF — mulled spice-infused whiskey, spiced Demerara syrup, and bitters

Pro tip: No need to bring a notebook and pen to write down the recipes. Liquor Lab will send you instructions following the class.
