One year in, here’s where Nissan Stadium construction stands

The 1.8 million-sqft new Nissan Stadium broke ground next to the existing stadium on Feb. 29, 2024.

Want to take a spin through the new Nissan Stadium? No, really — buckle up. This one-minute drone clip zips through the construction site, showing just how far along the project is one year after breaking ground.

With the foundation completely poured, the next milestones for the $2.1 billion stadium will be the concrete structure reaching its full height by mid-year, followed shortly by the topping out of the steel frame. In the second half of 2026, work will shift to completing the roof and installing the seating.

If everything stays on schedule, the stadium is expected to open in spring 2027. On Feb. 21, Titans Senior Vice President and COO Dan Werly said he anticipates the College Football Playoffs, WrestleMania, and even the Super Bowl could come to Nashville within the next 10 years. The stadium is expected to host 40 to 50 events annually.
