Without CMA Fest and Bonnaroo this year, (don’t worry, both festivals are scheduled to return in 2022), the Pilgrimage Music & Cultural Festival is in the spotlight this weekend.
The outdoor festival will return to the Park at Harlinsdale Farm in Franklin on Sept. 25-26 with live music, local art, a food truck park + more.
🎶 The lineup
In addition to Dave Matthews Band, headliners The Black Keys, Maren Morris, and Cage the Elephant all have ties to Music City. Black Pumas, Houndmouth, Valerie June, and other artists round out the lineup.
🍽️ Food and drink vendors
The food and libations lineup is just as stacked as the main lineup, featuring the Grilled Cheeserie, Edley’s Bar-B-Que, Daddy’s Dogs, and others at the festival’s food hall, food truck park, and craft beer hall. You can also shop local art, jewelry, and clothing at the marker’s village in the middle of the festival.
🎸 The experiences
The Americana Music Triangle Experience is a dedicated space for exhibits, storytelling, and intimate performances. This year’s offerings include comedy shows, a Sunday morning service with special guests Kathie Lee Gifford and Louis York, and sets by Lilly Hiatt, Butch Walker, and others.
The Lil’ Pilgrims stage features performances by the Nashville Shakespeare Festival, School of Rock students, and a variety of local children’s entertainers. (Pro tip: Kids 10 and under get in free)

General admission and VIP tickets are still available (no single-day passes this year), with a portion of the service fees benefitting MusiCares and The Friends of Franklin Parks.
For those not planning to park onsite, festival organizers recommend utilizing daily shuttle passes, rideshares, biking, walking, and there’s even a canoe landing off the Harpeth River.
