60 minutes. That’s how much daylight Nashville will have gained over the course of April, ushering in longer, sun-soaked evenings. In other words, it’s officially patio season, so make plans to enjoy dinner al fresco at one of these local restaurants.

Butcher & Bee
Dining at Butcher & Bee calls for whipped feta, a house cocktail, and a seat on the patio under string lights and greenery.

Turkey and the Wolf Icehouse
The patio is bright and colorful, with a dog-friendly yard and tennis balls for sale at the counter. Go for the collard green melt, a frozen bev, and whatever limited-time special is on the menu.

Park Cafe
These new private, climate-controlled greenhouses seat up to eight guests and offer a candlelit dining experience with seasonal florals throughout. Reservations are available through Friday, Nov. 6, with each seating lasting one hour and 45 minutes.

Curry Boys BBQ
When you see the pink house in Riverside Village, you’ve found the right spot. The covered back patio is partially enclosed and decorated with paper lanterns above the tables.

April showers bring May flowers, but May flowers bring... allergies.

Here are some tips to avoid letting sneezin’ season keep you inside:
  • Start allergy meds two weeks before your symptoms begin
  • Track the daily pollen count and plan outdoor activities for lower-count days
  • Keep pollen outside by changing clothes and showering after being outdoors
Need expert relief? Ascension Saint Thomas Urgent Care is open seven days a week. Just walk in, use Hold My Spot®, or schedule a virtual visit.

It was tough to narrow down which patio photos to feature above, so I’m adding one more to the mix. I haven’t made it to Pastis in Wedgewood-Houston yet, but this outdoor dining area is calling my name. It’s available for regular service and private dining experiences.
