Civic

Metro launched the first phase of upgrades at Fort Negley Park. Plans call for a new memorial lawn, improved accessibility, and a relocated main entrance, as well as an archaeological investigation of the historic Bass Street Community site at the base of Fort Negley. Work is expected to wrap in early 2027.

Development

Nashville International Airport shared renderings of a planned six-story rental car facility and parking garage, which is slated to be built in front of the existing terminal garages. The structure will house up to 4,700 rental vehicles and 3,000 passenger parking spaces.

Coming Soon

Another national brand is expanding to 12 South: Anthropologie. The clothing and home goods store will open in a new two-story, multi-tenant building coming to the former White’s Mercantile site, according to a Metro permit. (Nashville Business Journal)

Buy, sell, and trade LEGO bricks at the new Bricks & Minifigs in West Nashville. The store is holding a grand opening event on Saturday, Feb. 28 with raffles and the chance to meet two former “LEGO Masters” contestants.

The Grand Ole Opry will pay tribute to the late Little Jimmy Dickens on Saturday, March 21 as part of the Opry 100 Honors series. Brad Paisley is set to perform, with Bill Anderson, The Gatlin Brothers, Trace Adkins, and The Oak Ridge Boys also on the lineup.
