Nashville will reportedly host the 2034 Special Olympics. As previously outlined in the bid process, the event is expected to draw ~4,500 athletes and 10,000 volunteers. A press conference is planned for later this week with more details. (The Tennessean)

The owner of The Golden Slipper in Germantown plans to open two new sister shops in the neighborhood. First up is Wonderland, a toy store and candy shop debuting in late November, followed by a fragrance store in February.
Plan Ahead
Old Dominion, songwriter Liz Rose, and the late Charley Pride will be inducted into the Music City Walk of Fame next month, representing stars 110-112. The 1 p.m. event on Tuesday, Nov. 11 is open to the public.

Everybody scream. Bridgestone Arena announced two upcoming concerts: Demi Lovato’s “It’s Not That Deep” tour on Tuesday, April 14 and Florence + The Machine on Saturday, May 2.

The Titans traded cornerback Roger McCreary to the Los Angeles Rams. Tennessee will receive a conditional fifth-round draft pick in exchange for McCreary and the Titans’ 2026 conditional sixth-round pick.

Tickets are on sale for the 15th annual Tennessee Local Food Summit, set for Dec. 5-7 at Trevecca Community Church. Farmers, educators, and entrepreneurs will gather for workshops, a vendor trade show, urban garden tour, and farm-fresh meals from local growers.

In the mid-1930s, the Grand Ole Opry spent seven months broadcasting from the Belcourt — then the Hillsboro Theatre. On Monday, Nov. 17, Belcourt historian T. Minton will explore that era in this one-hour seminar, followed by a 35mm screening of “Nashville Rebel” starring Waylon Jennings.
The event also marks the shared centennial of the Opry and the Belcourt.
