Mailbag: Your stirring soup suggestions

The weather’s cooling off, which means it’s officially soup season. Last week, we asked for your favorite local bowls to update our running list, and you shared some piping hot recommendations.
  • Pastis Nashville | Add on a bowl of onion soup to your lunch, brunch, or dinner and prepare for the ultimate cheese pull.
  • Mas Tacos Por Favor | The chicken tortilla soup is so beloved that many have tried to recreate the recipe at home — it even appeared in Bon Appétit — but nothing beats the original served with cilantro, avocado, queso fresco, cherry tomatoes, and lime.
  • Little Hats Market | Little Hats Soup is an Italian cheese tortellini soup with crimini mushrooms, salsa verde, and Parmesan in chicken broth.
  • Vinh-Long | There are many to choose from, but the restaurant’s bánh mì bò kho (beef and carrot stew served with French bread) received a special shoutout.
