The scrapyard is out, and a new chapter is in.
The long-debated site on Nashville’s East Bank sold for $245 million — the priciest land deal in Davidson County this year. The 45-acre riverfront property is best known as the former PSC Metals site (now SA Recycling) and is in the hands of a local investment group that sees it as a “blank canvas” for future mixed-use development.

Nashville SC will host the Philadelphia Union in their first-ever Lamar Hunt US Open Cup semifinal on Tuesday, Sept. 16. A win would send the Boys in Gold to the Wednesday, Oct. 1 final, where they would travel to the winner of the Austin FC vs. Minnesota United FC semifinal.
Plan Ahead
The Lucky Classic, a celebrity softball game hosted by Texas Rangers infielder Jake Burger and Ashlyn Burger, comes to First Horizon Park on Sunday, Nov. 16. Expect active MLB players, country artists, comedians, and a Home Run Derby. Tickets are on sale now and benefit the Burger Family Foundation.

Southwest Airlines plans to add five new routes from BNA starting in early March, including international service to Montego Bay, Jamaica + San Jose, Costa Rica. The new domestic routes are Knoxville, Little Rock, and Montrose, CO. With the additions, Southwest will operate up to 190 daily departures from Nashville — the most in the airline’s history at the airport.
