Everyone, act SuperNormal

Burgers, hot dogs, and soft serve come with a side of nostalgia at SuperNormal, a new fast-casual restaurant from chef Robbie Wilson (a James Beard semifinalist) and Emily Perry Wilson. The duo is also behind Lion’s Share, a concept coming to the former McCabe Pub space later this year.

In the meantime, get to know the spot open daily at 105 45th Ave. N.

The space

It’s all outdoors here. Order at the self-serve kiosks or online ahead of time, then stick around on the patio with picnic tables. What’s that you hear? A playlist of ‘80s deepcuts, courtesy of chef Wilson.

The menu

Expect classics with a chef’s touch, like the SuperNormal Burger with American cheese, pickled shiitake mushrooms, and house-made sauce + a hot dog topped with bacon marmalade, chile-spiked cabbage, and yuzu cream cheese. There are a couple more burger and hot dog offerings, as well as a vegetarian option.

On the sweet side, the eatery serves buttercream and malted milk chocolate soft serve flavors in mochi-style waffle cones, plus pink lemonade, oolong tea, and iced coffee.

See inside the new digs

Though the space is new, The Patterson House still features its signature tin ceilings. | Photo by Nicola Harga
After more than a decade on Division Street, The Catbird Seat and The Patterson House have found a new perch atop the Bill Voorhees Building at Paseo South Gulch.

The Patterson House now has more room to play, with an expanded cocktail program, a private bar room, and food offerings that go beyond your average bar snacks — think: a French dip-style burger and a 16-ounce pork chop. The Catbird Seat’s signature U-shaped counter remains central to its prix fixe experience, and a new wine lounge offers guests a place to settle in before or after meals.

Pro tip: The Patterson House is mostly first come, first served, while The Catbird Seat opens reservations on the first of each month (right now, they’re available through the end of June).
