While the Nashville Oktoberfest won’t return until 2022 and the official event is technically over, there are plenty of ways to celebrate the international festival around town — from events to brews and bites.

So, break out your finest Tracht (or don’t) and keep the celebration going locally.

Events

  • Oktoberfeast | Sat., Oct. 9 | 12-6 p.m. | Assembly Food Hall | Cost of purchase | Grab a brat, fill up a souvenir beer stein with brews on tap, participate in stein holding competitions + enjoy live polka music by Polkawagen.
  • Nashtober Fest | Sat., Oct. 9-Sun., Oct. 10 | 2-9 p.m. | Daddy’s Dogs, 5205 Centennial Blvd. | $40+ | Tickets include 12 beer tastings, a hot dog or brat, a cup, and a koozie.
  • Oktoberfest at Von Elrod’s | Fri., Oct. 8-Sat., Oct. 9 | Times vary | 1004 4th Ave. N | Cost of purchase | Enjoy seasonal beers, stein-holding contests, homemade sausages, fresh-baked pretzels, and a DJ in the outdoor beer garden.

Brews

Bites

  • Bavarian Bierhaus | 121 Opry Mills Dr. | From schnitzel and kasespatzle to bier cheese fries and soft pretzels, it’s hard to choose what to order.
  • Silke’s Old World Breads | 1214 A College St., Clarksville | This family-owned bakery specializes in German pastries like black forest cake, Bienenstich, apple strudel, and more.
  • Von Elrod’s Beer Hall & Kitchen | 1004 4th Ave. N. | Nothing says Oktoberfest in Nashville quite like a hot chicken schnitzel sandwich.
  • The Pharmacy | 731 Mcferrin Ave. + Assembly Food Hall | Get your brat fix, whether you opt for a traditional bratwurst, currywurst, or chili cheddar wurst.

Prost, Nashville. 🍻
