Nashville’s roots run deep, and as Luke Bryan would say, it’s time to “Kick the Dust Up.” Introducing Nashville’s first-ever professional bull riding team: The Nashville Stampede.

The Stampede, owned by Morris Communications Company, will call Bridgestone Arena home. The team will take part in the PBR team series, a 10-event, 112-game regular seasonincluding a three-day homestead stop Aug. 19-21.

🐮 How it works

  • Five riders (7-member team) go head-to-head
  • Team with the highest averaged score wins each game
  • The event winner is the team with the most game wins

📜 Nashville’s PBR history

Even without an official team, Music City is no stranger to PBR. The PBR’s premier series first debuted in Nashville in 1996 + has held events here a total of 22 times.

Some may even say Nashville is a great stepping stone on a bull rider’s way to the World Championships. Cooper Davis won here in 2016 en route to the championship, followed by Jose Victor Leme in 2021. In fact, Leme’s stop at Bridgestone was one of his eight record-tying event victories.

Did we mention that Nashville Stampede head coach Justin McBride knows a thing or two himself? McBride is a two-time PBR World Champion. He is an inductee to the PBR Ring of Honor, ranks fifth for all-time earners, and has led Team USA to the PBR Golden Cup four times.
