Tex-Mex chain Torchy’s Tacos is expanding to Nashville

The Austin-based restaurant is eyeing a late 2024 opening in Midtown.

More tacos, queso, and margaritas are on the way to Nashville by way of Torchy’s Tacos.

The Austin-based chain will set up shop late next year in Midtown at 1929 Broadway. The 1940s-era building — located at the Broadway and Division split — was last home to neighborhood restaurant Flatiron.

What to know

Torchy’s is known for its innovative Tex-Mex that goes by the slogan “Damn Good.” Since the company’s founding in 2006, it has expanded beyond Texas with over 100 locations across the US.

What’s on the menu

  • Breakfast tacos
  • Tacos like fried avocado and green chile pork
  • Green chile queso, guacamole, and salsa
  • Taco of the Month (like this month’s Naughty Santa )
