Teddy’s Tavern, a concept by Fat Bottom Brewing, is the latest bar to open on Lower Broadway. It’s tucked away from the bustling row of honky tonks — 104 Rep. John Lewis Way S. across from Bridgestone Arena — and is open daily from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m.

It’s all in the details

The three-story space honors the original design of the building, uncovering original exposed beams, brick, floors, and fireplaces. Like its honky tonkin’ neighbors, you can expect different offerings on each level:

  • The first floor taps into the historical elements of the building, featuring a small, more traditional country stage, a main bar, and food service.
  • Head to the second floor for a “quieter, intimate spot” with a small stage fit for a single musician.
  • The rooftop is a place to grab seated cocktails and drinks with views of Broadway.

What’s on tap (and the table)

In addition to a full bar, Teddy’s Tavern has ten taps of Fat Bottom Brewing and Music City Light beers, plus some seasonal and limited offerings. Some of the menu items might look familiar — that’s because Fat Bottom brought over some of its most popular taproom bites, including pretzels with beer cheese and house made beef chili.
