NDOT’s Nashville Connector program is bringing back its Commuter Challenge through the end of September, encouraging residents to swap car trips for biking, walking, transit, or carpooling. Logging your trips helps reduce traffic and puts you in the running for prizes like an e-bike, e-scooter, or Cumberland Transit gift card.

Want to get involved? Register and track trips, plus check out these free events this month:

  • East Nashville Group Bus Ride | Thursday, Sept. 4 | Ride Route 56 to the Elizabeth Duff Transit Center and back, learning the ins and outs of WeGo service.
  • Chains, Trains, No Automobiles | Tuesday, Sept. 16 | Head to Riverfront Station to participate in hands-on demos on bringing your bike aboard buses and the WeGo Star.
  • Group Bike Ride + Lunch | Thursday, Sept. 18 | Embark on a 5-mile ride with Nashville Bike Fun with a stop at Flora Wilson Park to enjoy a provided box lunch — RSVP required.
