School of Rock partners with the National Museum of African American Music

School of Rocka performance-based music school with locations all over the US — is teaming up with the National Museum of African American Music for a new initiative.

The School of Rock Scholar Program will provide access to music education programs, live events, and exhibits at no cost for qualifying students in underserved communities .

  • The Scholar Program will cover 1-on-1 lessons in guitar, bass, drums, keyboards or vocals, and group performance programs + access to instructions and practice spaces.
  • Students will have access to “exclusive experiences” at the NMAAM, including live events and exhibits.
  • The program is open to students in four US cities: Nashville, Chicago, Red Bank, NJ, and Watertown, MA.

Applications will be open from Sat., Oct. 1-Thurs., Dec. 1, with accepted students beginning the music program in January 2023.
