A revitalization project for Printers + Bankers Alleys is one step closer to reality after receiving approval from the MDHA Design Review Committee.

The plan, spearheaded by Nashville-based Rubicon Equities, intends to transform downtown’s Bankers Alley into a lively + walkable area that connects Printers Alley, 2nd Ave., and the Arcade.
According to the Civic Design Center, Bankers Alley is an underutilized, unknown space that has the potential to enhance commercial and recreational activity in the heart of downtown Nashville.
The initial plans include 12,000-15,000 sqft of retail and dining space and 300 residential units that will take the place of a multi-level parking garage. The mixed-use development will also consist of a 4-level corridor , connecting the planned buildings + providing an aesthetic archway above Bankers Alley.
Focusing on the use of brick + stonework, STG Design intends for the development to look and feel as though it belongs and has always been a part of the city’s core.
The project is set to go before the Metro Planning Commission later this month to vote on approval of a height modification.
