Independent Bookstore Day is Saturday, April 25, and regional shops are teaming up for a Mid TN Bookstore Crawl. Pick up a passport at any participating bookstore — there are 12 in Davidson County — and start making your rounds.

Here are some things to look forward to on the crawl:
  • Parnassus Books will have a story time with Clifford the Big Red Dog and author signings.
  • Stop by Fairytales Bookstore for kid-friendly programs all day.
  • If you missed The Raven’s grand opening in Brentwood this past weekend, add the bookstore, bar, and lounge to your crawl route.
  • Romance readers, take note: Slow Burn, Sugar & Spice, and The Coastal Cowboy are all participating.

Traffic

Let’s rock. The St. Jude Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series Nashville is this Saturday, April 25. Check out all five course maps + the list of road closures to plan accordingly.

Plot twist: It’s National Library Week. Take a look at some of the lesser-known perks that come with having a library card in Nashville.

State

Have you seen Coca-Cola’s limited edition Tennessee can? In honor of America’s 250-year anniversary, the beverage company has released special mini cans for each US state — ours features a music note. (Nextstar Media)
