🤝 Introducing Nashville Pairings
Editor Dylan’s recs: The Hitman Hart drink at Primitive and the spring veggie club at Dozen Bakery, both seasonal items. | Photos by NASHtoday
Inspired by my recent trip to Resting Burrito Face + Merge Coffee Bar, I’m introducing a new series — Nashville Pairings — where I visit two nearby spots in one outing. This time, I’m on Nolensville Pike.
Primitive Coffee Company
I kicked things off at Primitive Coffee, self described as “a coffee shop that feels like your living room.” It earns this reputation with shelves of trinkets, unique mugs, and cozy lighting. The shop also likes to have fun with seasonal drinks — this spring’s pro wrestling-themed menu is no exception. I ordered the Hitman Hart, a jasmine green tea strawberry lemonade.
Dozen Bakery
From there, I walked over to Dozen Bakery, which relocated from Wedgewood-Houston last year. The spring veggie club earned an immediate “Is this my new favorite sandwich in Nashville?” after the first bite. And what magic do they put in the chocolate cardamom madeleines?
