Groundhog Day. The tradition dates back more than a century, when a Pennsylvania newspaper crowned a groundhog the official predictor of spring in 1887.

These days, Punxsutawney Phil isn’t the only thing that comes to mind on Groundhog Day. It also reminds us of the 1993 movie of the same name, in which Bill Murray’s character is stuck in a time loop.

That’s why, four years ago, we asked a simple question: If you could relive one day in Nashville, what would it be? Readers pointed to days and moments such as:
Now we’re bringing the question back. If you could press rewind on one Nashville day, what would you choose and why?

News Notes

Plan Ahead

Nashville Celebrity Comic Con is coming up this weekend. As the lineup stands now, you can meet several stars from “Stranger Things,” “Gilmore Girls,” and “Boy Meets World,” as well as Christopher Lloyd, Priscilla Presley, Giancarlo Esposito, and many others.

Watch

Do not try this at home. Storied rock climber Alex Honnold recently climbed the tallest skyscraper in Taiwan without ropes or a harness, and Netflix livestreamed the event. If he ever came to Music City, we wonder which of our most iconic landmarks he would scale.
Take your Southern hospitality to the next level by making a personalized logo for your home. You can put it on things like matchboxes, coffee cups, and notepads to create a hotel-style feel. Some Middle Tennessee flora would be a great touch — get inspired at a local park. (Southern Living)

Eat

We’re in the depths of winter, which might explain why people are so interested in soup at the moment. A cozy sweater and a warm bowl at one of Nashville’s super soup spots sounds great right now.

Active

It can be tough to find time to work out. Good news — a new study suggests that a couple of 30-45 minute sessions per week could be enough to make “very good gains.” If you’ve got the time, see which of Nashville’s gyms would suit your schedule. (NPR)

Jobs

Whether you’re a small business looking to grow your team or a large company filling a key role, our Job Board can connect you with engaged, qualified locals who are ready to work. Post your open roles + watch the applications roll in.

Number

$0. That’s how much 94% of Nourish patients pay out of pocket to talk to a dietitian covered by their insurance. You could be covered, too — check your coverage + get matched with a dietitian who can cut through the food noise and build you a plan to thrive.*

The Buy
