We recently got the chance to visit Muscle Shoals: Low Rhythm Rising — the stunning new exhibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, and, wow.

On display through early 2028, this in-depth exploration of a quiet Alabama community turned global recording epicenter takes visitors through the history and artists who helped create an entirely new sound in the 1960s and 1970s.

🎹 What to expect


The beautifully curated major exhibit is filled with the stories, artifacts, and real-life instruments from the hit-makers of the time.

From Aretha Franklin’s baby grand piano and Duane Allman’s electric guitar to interactive digital displays highlighting dozens of genre-bending artists, there’s something for casual fans and hardcore music historians alike.

Development

VOCE Hotel & Residences is set to break ground in Midtown on Monday, Dec. 8. The 25-story project will include 192 residences, 114 hotel suites, office space, and more than 40,000 sqft of amenities. In the meantime, see what the finished product will look like.

Want to help grow Sylvan Park’s tree canopy? The Nashville Tree Foundation will host a community planting day on Saturday, Dec. 6 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Volunteers will meet at the Nashville Ballet headquarters before heading out to plant along 37th Street, 42nd Street, and Murphy Road. (WKRN)

Golden Prawn #3, 1404 McGavock Pk.
This Riverside Village restaurant is open for lunch and dinner with hot line service only for now; expanded hours and additional menu items will follow soon. Some of the choices include sweet and sour pork, orange chicken, and Mongolian beef.

Sushi-san, 2212 12th Ave. S.
The new 12 South spot serves a variety of nigiri and sashimi sets, maki, and hand rolls, as well as small plates and 65 Japanese whiskies. As a sweet bonus, there’s a walk-up window for soft serve.

Maggie’s Place, 905 51st Ave. N.
The bar and restaurant features a 4,500-sqft outdoor space with yard games, fire pits, and a large TV. The menu was developed by chef Javier Bonacic of Subculture Urban Cuisine & Cafe and features dishes such as quesadilla pockets, tacos, wings, and elote dip.
