Cue the fanfare. The Nashville Symphony kicks off its 2025-2026 season this weekend with an opening program that moves from dreamy to dramatic.

Head to the Schermerhorn Friday through Sunday to hear Debussy’s “Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun,” David Robertson’s new piano concerto “Light forming” performed by Orli Shaham, and Dvořák’s Symphony No. 9 (“From the New World”). Plus, be one of the first 100 people there to score a limited-edition branded tote bag.

Announced

Move over, Thin Mints, we’re saving our money for boxes of Exploremores — Girl Scouts of the USA’s newest cookie. The rocky road ice cream-inspired sandwich cookie will debut in 2026. Sign up to be the first to know when they hit the market in Music City.

Nothing breaks our hearts faster than hearing these three words: The kitchen’s closed. If you’re working through a midnight craving after an evening concert or night on the town, knowing where to find a late-night bite is a must.

Bar fare and beyond

Connie’s
This new Rock Block bar is open daily except Tuesday, serving beef and vegan hot dogs like the K&M Dog (ketchup and mustard), Kani Dog (crab rangoon, sriracha, sesame, and green onion), and Spicy Dog (Wickles Pickles, chili crisp, sesame, kewpie, and shallot).

Urban Cowboy Bar at The Arcade
As the bar notes on its website, “Come for the drinks, stay for Roberta’s Pizza.” The pizzeria serves up salad, pepperoni rolls, and specialty pies (whole pizzas and slices) until 11 p.m. or later.

Schulman’s
Last call for food is 1:30 a.m. nightly, so don’t miss your chance to enjoy cheeseburgers, fried pickles, and vegan chicken sandwiches.
