A bar and restaurant named Maggie’s Place is set to move into the former Field House Tavern building. Not much is known about the new Nations spot at this time, but the website hints at a 2025 opening. (Nashville Business Journal)

Southern Grist is preparing to pass the torch. After a decade in business, the Nashville brewery announced it will wind down operations by year’s end, with Knoxville-based Xul Beer Company set to take over both locations.

Sprouts Farmers Market is set to open its new Mt. Juliet store on Friday, Oct. 17. The grocer will anchor the Everette Downs development and plans to hold hiring events on Wednesday, Sept. 3 and Thursday, Sept. 4. (The Tennessean)

Outdoors
Sunday, Aug. 31 is the final day for Davidson County residents to reserve free trees through Root Nashville. Participants can select up to three large trees to be delivered between October and March, with options filtered by sunlight, size, and soil preferences.
