Champy’s is now open on 3rd Avenue South. Like the Smyrna and Murfreesboro locations, the downtown spot serves fried chicken, tamales, gumbo, and Southern sides, plus weekend brunch.

Development

Following this week’s Music City Loop announcement, The Boring Company is seeking to lease 0.8 acres of state-owned land on Rosa L. Parks Boulevard for tunnel construction. The lease goes before the State Building Commission tomorrow, July 31. (Nashville Business Journal)

Calling all “Dateline” fans. The true crime series takes over The Pinnacle on Sunday, Sept. 28 as Lester Holt, Keith Morrison, and the team bring panels, audience Q+As, and interactive demos to the stage for the first time. Tickets go on sale Tuesday, Aug. 5.
