North Nashville bar and restaurant Minerva Avenue sustained extensive fire damage in the early hours of July 5. The owners said early reports suggest fireworks may be the cause and plan to share updates as they assess what’s next. (The Tennessean)

Yeast Nashville has closed its Donelson location, but the original bakery remains open. In a social media post, the team said some past specials will return to the East Nashville location along with “a few new surprises.”
Festival
The Southern Festival of Books returns Saturday, Oct. 18 and Sunday, Oct. 19. The free literary event will bring author talks and more to Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park and nearby venues. The initial lineup drops Thursday, July 17 — and with any luck, some of these authors with Nashville ties will be on there.

Three large-scale art pieces from local and national artists
